The Vision
Are you a developer who cares whether a number is actually true? Alpin Ads is looking for a Backend Developer to build the systems behind our digital campaigns for premium hotels and resorts — the integrations that bring data in from external platforms, and the APIs that turn it into the numbers our clients act on. You’ll work side by side with our marketing team and our frontend developers to make sure those numbers arrive fast, and right.
What You Will Do
- Build & Maintain: Develop the APIs and services behind our client dashboards — TypeScript, Node.js, PostgreSQL.
- Ingest & Integrate: Build and maintain the webhooks and third-party integrations that feed the platform with campaign and booking data.
- Query & Optimize: Write the SQL behind our reporting and keep it fast across millions of rows.
- Track Attribution: Connect a booking back to the campaign that earned it, and repair the chain when it breaks.
- Collaboration: Work closely with our marketing team to understand what they need measured, and with our frontend developers to agree on the API contract behind it — so every number on the dashboard means what it says.
Who You Are
- SQL-Strong: You write SQL by hand and read query plans. An ORM is a convenience, not your only tool.
- Detail-Oriented: A number that’s wrong but looks plausible bothers you more than an error message — in a good way.
- Backend Developer: Proficient in TypeScript and Node.js, comfortable building and maintaining production APIs.
- API-Fluent: You’ve worked with third-party APIs before: OAuth, rate limits, webhooks that arrive out of order.
- AI-Native: AI tools are part of how you work, not something you try occasionally. You ship faster with them, and you still read what they wrote.
- Git-Savvy: You use version control as a natural part of your workflow — branching, committing, and collaborating without issues.
- Adaptable: Comfortable working within existing codebases, not just starting from scratch.
- Communicative: Conversational English — our team and clients are international.
Nice to Have
- Automation: Experience with n8n or similar workflow automation tools.
- Frontend Awareness: Enough React or Next.js to debug an integration from both sides.
Compensation
We pay above the collective agreement rates of the Italian national collective agreement for commerce and services (CCNL Terziario) and the supplementary agreement for the Province of Bolzano: from €38,000 gross per year with relevant professional experience. Your qualifications and experience directly affect your salary.
